The Breastfeeding Re-enactments
2015
Doyle re-enacted classic portraits of breastfeeding mothers found in European museums for this series of eleven photographs to encourage communication about feeding, the exhausting nature of motherhood, and how breastfeeding is depicted today.
This research has been furthered with The Breastfeeding Gatherings which hosted a space for discourse between parents - new and old - to share their own stories of children, feeding and pressures.
