Klaire Doyle is an interdisciplinary artist based in the North of England.


Doyle’s research predominantly investigates documentation, the monstrous feminine, the abject and the representation of these within Catholicism via performance and participatory practice.


She has been internationally acknowledged since 2014, including solo and group works in New York City, Venice Biennale, Moscow and Helsinki. Her breast painting workshop has been featured in The Real Housewives of Cheshire on itvBe! Klaire is an associate artist at Cross Street Studios and Wigan STEAM. She is also an artist in residence at The Brick charity.


Doyle holds a Masters in Making Performance and frequently works as a scenographer for theatre, site specific performance and exhibition. Find her select scenographic and collaborative work photographed below.

Performance art commission for Con El Sal charity event: Lets Talk Women. London, 2015. The pregnancy casts consume the artist’s body as a reflection of El Salvadorian women. El Salvadorian women that are denied fundamental reproductive health care. El Salvadorian women that are nonconsensually pregnant due to rape and incest. El Salvadorian women that are criminals for the faultless loss of their infants. El Salvadorian women that are disloyal, according to the misogynist system.
